Oh my gosh, this game is so old but I feel compelled to review it because I see a lot of potential here, something I cant say for many horror flash games on newgrounds
The atmosphere is very, very surreal and that could be because the quality of everything is so low. I don't really care if that was on purpose or not, it works well.
This game doesnt have to rely on popscares, which I like, though the game isn't necessarily scary and instead it's very bizarre and surreal. I'm very surprised one of the influences you listed wasn't silent hill seeing as the concept is very psych horror

Id say this game is fairly successful at what it tries to do, and doesnt resort to the cliches!
Out of all these goofy horror flash games on this site, yours is probably the best Ive seen so far
I dunno if you ever made a sequel but if you did I hope you didnt resort to what the other flashes are doing

Actually, at that time, I hadn't played Silent Hill yet. But when I started playing them, I feel like something "clicked" for me. ^^
It was quite a long time ago now.. And though I don't approve of all the choices I made for this game, I'm still proud of the things I did right! No sequel yet.. But there might be more like this in the future, since I'm studying game design seriously now.

And don't worry, I'll always go my own way. ^^

[The Death Trap]

This is probably one of the funniest fucking things Ive seen in a long time. Everything is SO GOD DAMN BAD

I seem to be going a little easy on this game , looks like everyone is expressing nothing but disgust about this and I can't really blame them. Everything it attempts to do sucks and this is a complete failure if you're going to take it seriously.
However I don't think its fair to not consider the amount of laughs this game gave me, thats gotta count for SOMETHING

[Metroid: Elements]

This game is bad, this should be obvious, but I don't think its so bad that you can't get through it. I managed to get to the end and beat it. The jumping is so awful, but I guess I got used to it.

I wish the rooms weren't so fucking big and boring, I can forgive the low quality of the graphics and how cheesy everything is, but god, the design isn't interesting at all. Some of the rooms are very annoying, and I cant believe its a challenge thing, I think it just shows a lack of good design sense.

It looks like you were inspired by Super Metroid, its disappointing because that was some pretty lush and interesting atmosphere. What happened here? I could say more but whatever, this came out in 2005 so reviewing it now probably wont do any good.

Holy fucking shit this is a disaster. I only gave it a star and a half for how much I was laughing when flying everywhere, the best part of the physics is the comedic value.
I cant imagine someone trying to play this seriously and complete it, not only is it obnoxiously hard because of the controls and the stupid enemies, its not very interesting. I couldn't bring myself to get past the 3rd room cuz I didn't give a shit.
I'm a little late to the party with this review, but this STILL sucks.

Oh my god I remember this when I was 11 or 10. Back then I thought this was funny, now not so much. It doesn't really hold up over time but hey, I threw in half a star cuz I liked it as a kid.
